U.S. cabinetry sales increased by 7.2% in July, achieving double-digit growth year-to-date

Recently, the Cabinet Manufacturers Association of America (KCMA) released its monthly report on market trends in July.

The report shows that the total sales of cabinets in July increased by 7.2%, continuing the trend of industry sales growth year-on-year. Among them, sales of customized cabinets increased by 10.3%, semi-custom cabinets fell by 1.1%, and sales of finished cabinets increased by 12.5%. 

However, according to KCMA data, compared with the previous month, the data is not so optimistic. The total sales volume in July fell 11.5% from the previous month. The sales of customized cabinets fell 15.1%, the sales of semi-custom cabinets fell 17.2%, and the sales of finished cabinets fell 6.6%. 

 


 
Compared with the same period in 2020, cabinet sales from January to July are still outstanding. Year-to-date, total sales of cabinets increased by 18.3%. The sales of customized cabinets increased by 21.5%, the sales of semi-custom cabinets increased by 17.6%, and the sales of finished cabinets increased by 18.1%. 

Participants in KCMA's market trend survey are customized, semi-custom and finished cabinet companies. The total sales of these companies accounted for approximately 75% of the U.S. cabinet and bathroom cabinet market. KCMA is the main trade association for cabinet and bathroom cabinet manufacturers and suppliers.For more than 40 years, the association has been compiling and reporting industry sales data.
